Through the very generous donations of CCRC&D, Network Kansas, the City of Jetmore, BCBS of Kansas and ITC Greatplains, we are busy putting together a Community-wide Maker Space! A listing of equipment is below, along with hours and location . This project was interrupted by COVID in 2020....but we have used the time to add to our offerings and are currently moving down the hall to a larger space. Our First Maker Camp was held in June 2018 at Elk Plaza Business and Culinary Incubator. It was an amazing event and we are looking for ways to continue the learning and enthusiasm! Check out some of our FUTURE BLOGGING STARS here! The second Summer Maker Camp was held on July 30 and August 1st, 2019 and featured 3D Printing; UAS (Drones); Vinyl Graphics and Cutting; and Engineering Challenges. Our first-ever Culinary Creation Camp then took place on August 9th and 10th and campers learned about making a Business Plan and marketing with a fun cupcake business.
As you might guess, 2020 camps had to be cancelled due to COVID. We are anxiously waiting until we can plan the next camps and will do so as soon as it is safe for all.
