Welcome to Hodgeman County! We are home to some of the best Hunting Opportunities in the United States and we're so glad you're coming here to hunt!
Almost 10 years ago Casey Fitzgerald wanted to honor his Dad, an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and started the Haskell Pack, Jr Memorial Longest Tailfeather Contest. To begin with, it was just in Hodgeman County, but has now grown to include Ford County as well. The contest includes a lifetime Hunting License for the winner of the youth division and a Winchester Super X 12 Gauge with a one-of-a-kind engraving for the adult division winner. The contest runs through Kansas Hunting Season -- Nov 14 -January 31st and culminates with a Banquet in the early spring. You can find the Official Contest Rules link at the bottom of this page...and the drop off locations are immediately below.
